Job description:
We are currently seeking to fill full-time and part-time Cashier positions immediately. The location for this opportunity is the Cleveland Museum of Art, situated at 11150 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106. Please note that we are accepting online applications exclusively.

The role offers flexible scheduling options, with shifts available from Tuesday through Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of additional evening shifts as needed. More specific details regarding the schedule will be provided during the interview process.

Job Summary:
As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions, managing the cash drawer, providing change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. Additionally, you may assist with general food service tasks while ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met in the preparation and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Conduct sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
– Input all sales into the register to ensure proper recording of purchases.
– Process transactions including making change, accepting various forms of payment, and issuing customer receipts.
– Follow established procedures for processing cash refunds.
– Interact with customers to address and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
– Safeguard assigned change funds and cash receipts, keeping the cash drawer compliant with company standards.
– Monitor customer purchases and ensure appropriate portion sizes.
– Replenish condiments, coffee, beverages, and other supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
– Ensure the pastry case is adequately stocked.
– Adhere to company service standards, and comply with inventory and cash control procedures.
– Follow all sanitation, ServSafe, and safety regulations.
– Perform other duties as assigned.
