This position at Scotts/Hawthorne offers an hourly wage that typically ranges from $16.00 to $18.00, with weekly payment. Various factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location, will be considered in determining the final compensation.

We are currently seeking a Seasonal Merchandiser to join our Field Sales team. Seasonal Merchandisers will report directly to a Sales Manager and will primarily operate within major retail outlets such as Home Depot and Lowe’s. Daily responsibilities will include executing merchandising directives and re-sets, fostering positive relationships with store personnel and customers, and communicating inventory opportunities to the Scotts Sales team.

In this role, you will:

– Merchandise products both inside and outside stores
– Educate customers and store associates on Scotts brands
– Ensure products are consistently stocked and attractively displayed
– Identify opportunities for solution selling and increased product space
– Provide support to the Sales Manager and store staff as needed
– Work independently and collaboratively to complete all assigned tasks

To succeed in this position, you will need:

– Preferred experience in retail, merchandising, and/or stocking
– A problem-solving, service-oriented mindset
– Flexibility to work a varying schedule, including holidays and weekends
– Proficiency in operating company-provided technology
– A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
– The ability to routinely walk, stand, climb 8-12 foot ladders, lift up to 45 pounds, and work in various weather conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain)
