Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Member Services Representative to join our team on a part-time basis during the morning hours. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering an exceptional "Judgement Free" experience for Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring the highest level of customer service. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Warmly greet members and guests, ensuring they feel appreciated and welcome.
• Answer calls in a friendly and professional manner, assisting callers with various inquiries.
• Manage member check-ins, provide facility tours, sign-up new members, log amenities, and communicate important updates and events to members and guests.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
• Utilize the POS system for member-related tasks such as issuing new membership cards, updating addresses, and addressing billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain the front desk area and lobby in a clean and organized manner.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as managing spills under equipment, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Regularly clean all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
• Ensure restrooms and wet areas are cleaned and stocked consistently.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Successful applicants for the position will undergo a 7-year criminal background check during the first week of employment. Continued employment is contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to positively engage with members and coworkers, consistently exceeding expectations.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Maintain an upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification as per company requirements and possess the physical capability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
• Capacity to communicate effectively, both in person and on the phone, throughout the shift.
• Maintain physical ability to provide CPR in case of a medical emergency.
• Adequate vision and hearing capabilities, with or without correction.
