We are actively seeking a dedicated and passionate culinary professional to join us as a Cook at The Lytle Park Hotel. This role will require the individual to excel in station preparation, food production, menu execution, and exceptional plate presentation that exceeds guest expectations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that consistently challenges each other to elevate standards. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of relevant experience, with a focus on hot line operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Cook include, but are not limited to:
– Completing daily prep tasks and setting up the line for service
– Preparing all hot food items according to standard recipes and/or guest specifications while ensuring product consistency
– Checking the quality of incoming food and reporting any issues to the Sous Chef, as well as properly labeling, dating, and storing all food items
– Maintaining a safe and sanitary work area, promptly addressing safety concerns
– Upholding high standards of food preparation in a timely manner while multitasking effectively
– Working in accordance with standard recipes and presentations to achieve food cost targets and consistency in quality
– Seeking continuous improvement in productivity
– Following established procedures for handling and rotating food, including adhering to cooking and cooling temperatures
– Employing safe knife skills
– Collaborating with the Sous Chef to place food requisitions based on operational needs
– Respecting and accommodating food servers’ requests concerning guest preferences
– Maintaining open communication with supervisors
– Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Sous Chef and assisting in various areas as needed

Qualifications
Candidates must possess at least one year of relevant culinary experience, preferably in the hospitality sector, with hot line experience being essential.
