Tuffy Tire is excited to announce its partnership with the Mavis Tires Family and is seeking full-time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers to join Team Mavis at our modern automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Saginaw, MI area. As one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States, Mavis boasts over 2,000 retail locations.
Position Overview: Assistant Manager
The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operations of the repair shop. Key responsibilities include scheduling mechanics and technicians, ordering parts, and ensuring timely and high-quality job completion that exceeds customer expectations. Upholding safety standards and maintaining a clean work environment are also essential. Candidates should possess knowledge of under-car repairs, alignments, tires, and exhaust systems, along with basic math and computer skills. Effective communication of safety and mechanical issues to the store manager, for customer relations, is required. Basic supervisory and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
Position Overview: Service Manager
As the Service Manager, your primary responsibility is to assist customers with their tire selections and automotive repair service needs. This is a sales-focused position that requires prior experience in up-selling products and services. A strong understanding of automotive repairs and the industry is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a personable demeanor, and a strong orientation towards success.

To qualify for the position of Automotive Assistant / Service Manager, candidates must meet the following criteria: (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) hold (i) at least 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and tire sales, (ii) at least 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive repairs and maintenance, or (iii) a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates capability in fulfilling the responsibilities associated with the position.
