Job description:

Enhance the customer shopping experience at ALDI within a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. In this role, you will be responsible for operating registers or other machinery, stocking shelves, maintaining store appearance, and delivering exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 – $18.00 | Year 3 – $18.50 | Year 4 – $18.50 | Year 5 – $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and neatly stock shelves and merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting with the shopping experience.
• Offer feedback to management regarding products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues.
• Assist in conducting store inventory counts per guidelines and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves and rotate products appropriately to ensure the availability of fresh merchandise.
• Follow merchandising planograms to create well-displayed merchandise arrangements.
• Organize new inventory and break down empty boxes.
• Operate machinery while adhering to all safety procedures.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
• Stockers must be able to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights.
