Job Summary
As an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in directing and overseeing the operational needs of the department’s support services. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the activities of frontline associates and serving as a liaison between administrative and unit departments, all while ensuring the highest possible level of service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and annually review standards and work procedures for all staff members.
  • Plan work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate service delivery.
  • Assist in the hiring process, including the interviewing, hiring, and training of new associates.
  • Orient, develop, and supervise all supervisory and housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare monthly reports outlining goals, accomplishments, and future objectives.
  • Provide ongoing education and continuous training for staff.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, administration, and other departments.
  • Coordinate external service providers (e.g., pest control, window cleaning, medical and solid waste management, document destruction, and recycling programs).

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years’ experience in support services, military, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience in a support service-related field with significant customer/client interaction.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and establish priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly in dynamic and high-pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet tools).
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
