Job description:

Overall, this position holds the primary responsibility for managing 32 Independent Living Villas at Maple Crest and 18 Independent Living Villas at Mennonite Memorial. The role involves coordinating daily management tasks that connect services and amenities to the residents of Independent Living and Assisted Living apartments, as well as addressing resident concerns. The incumbent will also oversee resident programming on a regular basis and facilitate ongoing marketing initiatives aimed at attracting prospective residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administer the daily operations of Independent Living Villas effectively.
  • Drive initiatives to promote and sell both Independent Living and Assisted Living apartments, which entail engaging with prospective residents, presenting services and amenities, conducting property tours, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with various departments and external organizations to maintain the properties efficiently.
  • Support residents during the transition process of moving in or out of the facilities.
  • Maintain an organized database of prospective residents and manage the waiting list, while generating biweekly reports that outline the status of all prospects and prior week activities.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of open houses and special events, which may involve advertising, event concept development, and marketing activities throughout the events.
  • Stay informed about developments in the retirement housing sector to identify potential improvements in service offerings.
  • Participate in resident council meetings and engaging with staff/resident committees to foster community involvement.
  • Contribute insights for modifications in the development and operational plans of both independent and assisted living facilities.
  • Strategically plan and conduct weekly marketing visits and sales calls to local professionals, businesses, and community influencers to raise awareness and promote Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.
  • Play an integral role in planning the Annual Gala, focusing on securing sponsors, donations, and attendees.
  • Conduct Customer Service visits as needed to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with residents, staff, and management while enforcing robust privacy and security protocols to safeguard confidential information. In the event of a breach, prompt corrective measures will be taken.
  • Provide support for in-house admissions, conducting tours, and meeting with prospective residents and their families.
  • Create and prepare written content for advertising purposes and actively seek and implement no-cost advertising opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities. However, oversight and coordination of subcontractor tasks may be required as needed.
