Operational Excellence is tasked with identifying and implementing performance improvement opportunities, thereby facilitating successful transformations across the enterprise while enhancing the capabilities of our workforce. The Black Belt plays a pivotal role in driving change through a focus on customers, employees, and processes, ultimately fostering a culture of excellence. Black Belts leverage contemporary process improvement tools to identify and act upon performance enhancement initiatives across the organization.
About the Consumer Health Logistics Center
The Consumer Health Logistics Center (CHLC) will serve as Cardinal Health’s latest Pharmaceutical Supply Chain operation located in Groveport, Ohio. Spanning approximately 300,000 square feet and incorporating cutting-edge automation technology, this facility is set to pick, pack, and ship approximately $250 million in consumer products each month.
Location
This position will initially operate in a hybrid working model until the facility is fully operational. Once the CHLC opens, the role will transition to an on-site position, requiring presence five days a week at the facility in Groveport, OH.
Responsibilities
– Provide network performance metrics and feedback for Weekly Business Reviews.
– Conduct initial data analysis and visualization to support various projects within the business unit.
– Guide the data and analytics team in the creation of formal dashboards and reporting.
– Actively monitor and address issues related to account and system setup within the business area.
– Collaborate with diverse business functions to define and standardize applicable processes.
– Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to support business processes.
– Implement and train team members on Operating Model Elements and Lean Tools.
– Facilitate communication with the field through regular update meetings and ad-hoc business process updates.
– Contribute to business proposals presented to leadership.
– Lead DMAIC process-improvement projects, which may vary in scope and complexity, including A3s, Kaizens, and initiatives requiring Black Belt certification.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
– A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
– Kaizen Certification is ideal.
– Experience with SAP, Manhattan, and Salesforce is desired.
– Proficiency in writing simple data queries, or a willingness to learn SQL Server Management Studio, Hana Studio, or Google Big Query.
– Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organization.
– Proficiency in Excel is essential.
