Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Member Services Representative to join our team on a part-time basis, specifically for weekend and morning shifts. We particularly encourage bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Spanish to apply. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing outstanding customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, thereby ensuring an exceptional and inclusive "Judgement Free" environment.

Responsibilities will include:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Warmly greet members and guests, delivering exceptional service that makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
• Answer phone calls in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a variety of inquiries.
• Check in members, conduct tours for prospective members, facilitate new memberships, and log amenities while communicating updates and events to members and guests.
• Address member questions and concerns professionally and in a timely fashion.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases using the point of sale system.
• Utilize the POS system to manage new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and lobby.
• Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of the facility, including mopping spills under equipment, trash removal, window and mirror cleaning, and re-racking weights.
• Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are regularly cleaned.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Candidates for this position must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory review.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers, consistently exceeding expectations.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• A positive, upbeat, and professional demeanor is essential.
• Punctuality and reliability are critical.
• You must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification as required by the company and be physically capable of performing CPR/AED in case of a medical emergency.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull moderate weights of up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to engage in conversation continually, both in person and on the phone during shifts.
• Must maintain the physical capacity to administer CPR in the event of a medical emergency.
• Ability to see within a normal visual range with or without correction.
