At US Foods®, we provide our Delivery Drivers with a competitive hourly wage starting at $24.08, which increases to $26/hr after 90 days of employment. Additionally, drivers have the potential to transition to component pay upon successful completion of training. Our compensation structure includes weekly pay and benefits that commence after the initial 90 days of employment.

This position follows a 4-day workweek, operating Monday through Friday with Wednesday as a scheduled day off. The work schedule typically begins between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM.

Main Responsibilities:
– Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
– Unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, and place them in designated storage areas as directed by the customer.
– Verify the accuracy of deliveries with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
– Manage collections and payments from customers when applicable.
– Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance client experience.
– Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.

Physical Requirements:
– Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull products weighing between 20 to 80+ lbs. repeatedly throughout each shift is essential.
– Comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions and making frequent stops (10+ per shift).

Qualifications:
– Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.
– Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
– A valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence, along with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, is mandatory.
– A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or a minimum of three months of experience in food and beverage delivery, is required.
– Preference for candidates who can operate a manual transmission, which may be necessary in specific locations.
– Proficiency in reading and communicating in English is essential for understanding traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and maintaining records.
