The Member Services Representative plays a critical role in fostering an engaging and vibrant fitness environment while providing exceptional customer service to our members. This position requires a passion for fitness and a genuine enthusiasm for serving others, ensuring an outstanding member experience at the gym.

Responsibilities:

– Greet all members and guests, emphasizing member engagement and retention.
– Assist with the sales of memberships, retail products, and tanning services.
– Promote membership benefits, including tanning, group fitness classes, small group training, and childcare services.
– Meet enrollment expectations for new members.
– Ensure all members and guests are checked in according to company procedures, addressing any check-in alerts as necessary.
– Answer phone inquiries courteously and professionally.
– Communicate information regarding special events to members and guests.
– Facilitate member requests or escalate them to a manager as appropriate.
– Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
– Be well-versed in all club facilities, services, programs, and operational hours.
– Keep the work area clean and organized.
– Navigate all areas of the front desk, including check-in, Relax & Recover, guest services, and membership sales.
– Complete opening and closing checklists and related duties.

Requirements:

– A minimum of 1 year of experience in a service-oriented role is preferred.
– Strong communication skills, with proficiency in reading and writing.
– A strong orientation towards customer service.
– CPR/AED certification is required (may be obtained within 30 days of hire).

Physical Requirements:

– Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
