Job description:
Homestead Health Care is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Aides to deliver exceptional care to our residents in Rochester Hills, MI. The Resident Aide will play a crucial role in assisting residents with their activities of daily living while also providing companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for helping others, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and cultivate meaningful relationships with seniors.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist residents with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
– Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
– Ensure the cleanliness of the environment, which may involve light housekeeping duties.
– Report any changes in the resident’s condition to the supervisor promptly.
– Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
– Adhere to safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
– Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
– Must be at least 18 years old.
– High school diploma or GED is required.
– Ability to pass a criminal background check.
– Prior experience working with the elderly is preferred.
– Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
– Availability to work every other weekend is mandatory.
– Reliable transportation is necessary.
– Valid Driver’s License or ID is required.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with a commitment to punctuality for every shift.

Schedule:
This position is part-time, with Resident Aides working 8-hour shifts and required to work every other weekend.

Pay:
