Job Summary

A Housekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel are kept clean and inviting. This includes daily servicing of guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures, stocking the cart with necessary supplies, changing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities, all while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. In certain instances, the role may also involve undertaking ‘deep cleaning’ tasks within guest rooms in conjunction with preventive maintenance responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and selecting among different courses of action quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner at all times.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, with scheduling that varies based on hotel needs.
  • Uphold high personal appearance and grooming standards, including the appropriate uniform and name tag as mandated by brand standards.
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations consistently to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for housekeeping cart setup.
  • Remove all trash and soiled linen from guest rooms.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • May be required to disassemble furniture or items in guest rooms for deep cleaning.
  • Deep cleaning responsibilities may encompass changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and molding, repairing scratched furniture, or re-hanging sliding closet doors.
