Kingsley Senior Living Facility in Canton, MI is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Staff to join our team. In your role as a Care Staff member and Medication Technician, you will assist residents with their daily care needs while promoting their sense of independence and safety. Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including but not limited to transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
  • Administer medication as a primary responsibility, along with providing hands-on care to each resident.
  • Maintain cleanliness within the environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and communicate promptly with the supervisor.
  • Administer medications and injections to residents in accordance with their medical charts.
  • Follow established schedules and assist residents with repositioning as needed.
  • Document medications accurately according to procedures.
  • Exercise sound judgment in providing care and ensuring the safety of clients.
  • Collaborate with team members by assisting with their duties as necessary.
  • Complete all required documentation and charting.
  • Respond to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly.
  • Obtain meal trays and assist residents with eating as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
