Job Summary:
Weekend shifts are available from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Weekday shifts primarily occur from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., with exceptions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We emphasize flexibility for college students. Employees will enjoy a free Black Card membership as part of their employment. Applicants must be available to work at least one weekend day.
The Member Services Representative plays a crucial role in enhancing the member experience by delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Extend a warm welcome to members, prospective members, and guests while providing outstanding customer service.
- Manage all front desk operations, including:
- Answering phone calls in a courteous manner and assisting with various inquiries.
- Checking members into our system.
- Facilitating new member sign-ups.
- Conducting tours for prospective members.
- Making necessary updates to member accounts.
- Addressing member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as required.
- Assisting in maintaining the club’s cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- A strong commitment to fitness and health.
- An enthusiastic and positive demeanor.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Outstanding customer service skills, with an ability to engage positively and professionally with both members and colleagues, consistently exceeding expectations.
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to empathize and resolve issues effectively.
- Capability to demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while maintaining professionalism in behavior and language.
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands:
- Continuous standing and walking are required throughout the shift.
- Regular verbal communication in person or over the phone is necessary.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- There may be occasional exposure to toxic chemicals during the shift.
