Job description:
Saint John’s Resort is seeking a dedicated Server Assistant for The Wine Grotto, situated within our historic and newly renovated property. We are in search of an enthusiastic team member who will create memorable experiences for our guests.
As a Server Assistant, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing the dining room by sanitizing surfaces and setting tables.
- Maintaining table settings by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and attending to guest spills or special requests promptly.
- Arranging tables and chairs to ensure guest comfort.
- Assisting Servers and Bartenders in delivering prepared food to our guests efficiently.
- Supporting Servers and Bartenders as necessary to enhance the overall dining experience for our guests.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport dirty dishes from the dining area to the kitchen
- Clean tabletops and chairs
- Set tables with appropriate silverware and glassware
- Dispose of garbage responsibly
- Change beverage syrups as needed
- Deliver food from the kitchen to the restaurant as required
- Complete designated side work duties
- Assist wait staff with various tasks
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a High School diploma
- At least one (1) year of experience in a hotel or restaurant service role is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Ability to exceed guest expectations
- Strong team player
