Job description:
The Athletic Club of Columbus (ACC) is in search of an enthusiastic leader whose passion lies in coffee, wine, spirits, fine dining, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will take on the role of a leader, educator, and coach for the ACC’s Food and Beverage teams, establishing the benchmark for dining and beverage service excellence. This individual will ensure that the team is well-informed, well-trained, and consistently committed to delivering the superior level of service that ACC Members expect. A natural ability to inspire and motivate those around them is essential.

Responsibilities:
– Strategically devise and execute food and beverage programs that enhance the quality and value of the member experience.
– Collaborate in developing and implementing educational programs and initiatives that empower leadership teams to educate members and staff, including lineup tastings, regular assessments, vendor visits, and educational excursions.
– Lead training sessions for Food and Beverage teams as necessary.
– Provide ongoing and comprehensive beverage training, tastings, and education to maintain the highest standards of beverage knowledge within the industry.
– Partner closely with the Front of House leadership team to coach and train new team members.
– Assist the Director in the development of beverage programs and menu creation.
– Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with vendors and sales representatives, demonstrating professionalism and respect in alignment with the ACC’s mission and values.
– Conduct monthly beverage inventory and ensure the timely organization of storage.
– Support operations across fine dining, casual dining, bowling center, banquets, and culinary teams.

Qualifications:
– Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a server and/or bartender.
– At least one (1) year of supervisory experience in food and beverage, with prior club experience considered a plus.
– A strong passion for food and beverage operations, service excellence, and the creation of unique experiences.
– Proficient in anticipating needs and identifying issues proactively.
– Effective time and resource management skills to achieve desired goals.
– Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
