This full-time role primarily operates during the second shift, with weekend availability as a key requirement. The starting wage for this position is $17 per hour.
As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the property’s grounds, public areas, and guest rooms. Your role is critical in upholding Suburban Inns’ Core Values and brand standards while striving to ensure that all guests have a 100% satisfactory experience.

Essential Functions:
- Greet guests warmly and positively, establishing personal connections that make them feel valued and welcome.
- Conduct property walk-arounds during your shift, addressing any encountered issues. Ensure all trash and used towels are collected and remain vigilant for any safety and security concerns, reporting necessary resolutions to the appropriate department or General Manager.
- Maintain a list of parts suppliers and order necessary items to complete maintenance tasks, adhering to the company budget and minimizing downtime of equipment. Obtain approval from the General Manager for any large purchases.
- Utilize Quore to document and track maintenance issues, ensuring timely completion of work orders and proper updates on issue resolutions.
- Monitor the daily safety and cleanliness of swimming pool/spa areas, conducting water checks and maintenance of the filtering system.
- Ensure property security by managing master keys and verifying the proper functioning of equipment such as security cameras and door locks.
- Maintain accurate records for compliance with county and state regulations, including pool and spa documentation, boiler records, and elevator certifications.
- Assist in the inspection and training for fire protection systems.
- Perform painting and drywall repair as needed.
- Conduct minor electrical and plumbing repairs, including replacements.
- Support outdoor maintenance tasks such as lawn care and snow removal.
- Troubleshoot and repair kitchen and laundry equipment, as well as boilers and HVAC systems, according to your experience.
- Address guest complaints promptly in alignment with Suburban Inns’ standards.
- Contribute to the ongoing preventative maintenance program for the hotel and restaurant.
- Foster open communication among all hotel departments.
- Operate company vehicles and heavy machinery, including lawn and snow removal equipment.
- Adhere to all Suburban Inns processes and maintain regular attendance.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum Knowledge: Ability to interpret information and perform basic arithmetic functions. Competence in typing, basic computer skills, record keeping, and word processing is desirable, along with good communication skills.
- Education and Experience: A minimum of one year of job-related experience is required.
- Licenses and Certifications: Hazcom Training and Lock-Out/Tag-Out certification are required. An excellent driving record is essential.
Work Schedule: The schedule may include varying shifts on days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends based on business needs.
