Job Summary:
A Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas within the hotel. This includes daily servicing of guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures, stocking housekeeping carts with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. In certain cases, the Housekeeper may also be responsible for executing deep cleaning tasks within guest rooms, as well as assisting with preventative maintenance activities.

Qualifications:
– A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in a hotel or related field.
– Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing.
– Clear communication of information and ideas is required.
– The ability to quickly and accurately evaluate and select among various courses of action is necessary.
– The ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations is essential.

Responsibilities:
– Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner.

– Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag as dictated by brand standards.

– Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms during each shift.
– Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including preparing the housekeeping cart with guest supplies, cleaning products, and linens.
– Remove all trash and dirty linens from guest rooms.
– Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
– Disassemble furniture or items in guest rooms as necessary to carry out deep cleaning.
– Deep cleaning responsibilities may include changing AC filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or rehanging sliding closet doors.
