The Legacy Project is an empowering youth development initiative based in Central Ohio, supported by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation and The Hagedorn Legacy Foundation. This groundbreaking program aims to assist high school students in identifying and achieving their educational and vocational aspirations by offering a wealth of resources, enriching experiences, and a robust support network that fosters social and economic mobility. Throughout their high school journey, students will engage in experiential, hands-on learning activities designed to enhance their growth, creativity, leadership, and achievement. Each participant will work closely with an individualized coach, emphasizing character skill development and fostering a problem-solving mindset to facilitate their career aspirations.
Position Description:
The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in the operational and administrative oversight of The Legacy Project. This position entails the management of program processes, functions, and administrative operations. The Operations Manager will lead event planning initiatives, provide communication support to program stakeholders, maintain student program records, oversee stipend and scholarship disbursements, and ensure compliance with all program-related requirements and operational standards. Additionally, this role will collaborate with local and state service providers to facilitate the development of partner deliverables and activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
– Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of program-related events and activities.
– Optimize communication efforts with various stakeholder groups.
– Oversee operational budgeting and manage expense allocations.
– Coordinate program evaluation processes.
– Manage alumni relations and outreach activities.
– Oversee student scholarship awards and stipend distribution.
– Supervise the work projects and deliverables of program partners.
– Facilitate necessary tutoring for students who do not meet academic standards.
– Collaborate with board members to schedule quarterly meetings.
– Provide coaching support to students as needed.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in non-profit management, youth program development, events management, or project management.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, demonstrating effective time management, organizational skills, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.
