Job description:

As patients arrive at our outpatient physical therapy center in Columbus, we aim to provide them with an exceptional experience, beginning with their front desk interaction. In the role of Patient Service Specialist, you will play a key role in managing both the patient-oriented and administrative aspects of our center. Your contributions will significantly influence each patient’s care journey, even before they leave the waiting area.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and register patients, ensuring they are informed about what to expect during their visit as well as details regarding their next appointment upon checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments both in person and over the phone.
• Maintain regular communication with various stakeholders, including attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, market operational leaders, and the business development team.
• Collect co-payments from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Qualifications:
Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred:

• One year of front desk experience.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting.
