Facilities Technician:

  • Part-time position
  • 2nd shift availability, including some weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Essential Functions:

  • Greet all guests warmly and positively, fostering personal connections to make them feel welcome and respected.
  • Conduct routine walk-arounds of the property and proactively address any issues encountered. Responsibility for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and security throughout the property.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parts suppliers; order necessary maintenance items while managing costs effectively to avoid unnecessary equipment downtime and loss of revenue. Obtain approval from the General Manager for any significant purchases.
  • Utilize Quore to document and manage maintenance issues, ensuring all work orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform daily checks of pool/spa water quality and filtration systems, ensuring proper sanitation and cleanliness of these areas.
  • Oversee property security, maintaining master keys and ensuring the functionality of all security equipment, including cameras and door locks.
  • Keep records of essential documentation, such as pool and spa safety records and certifications.
  • Assist in testing fire protection systems and provide training to staff as necessary.
  • Carry out minor repairs, including painting, drywall fixes, electrical and plumbing work, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and HVAC systems.
  • Contribute to outdoor maintenance tasks, including lawn care and snow removal, ensuring grounds are kept in pristine condition.
  • Address guest complaints and issues promptly, adhering to Suburban Inns’ standards and protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing preventative maintenance efforts for the hotel and restaurant.
  • Maintain clear communication across all hotel departments.
  • Operate company vehicles and heavy equipment when required.
  • Adhere to all Suburban Inns processes and maintain regular attendance.
  • Complete additional duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge: Ability to interpret and extract information; basic arithmetic skills are necessary. Competency in typing, basic computer usage, record keeping, and word processing is desired, along with strong communication skills.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of job-related experience is required.
  • Certifications: Completion of Hazcom Training and Lock-Out/Tag-Out training is essential.
  • An excellent driving record is required.

Work Schedule: The role may require flexibility with work hours, including variations for day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend assignments, in response to business needs.
