Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor housekeeping staff daily to ensure cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure the timely turnover of all vacant and clean rooms; verify stayovers, manage early check-outs, and communicate issues and discrepancies with the front office.
  • Provide coaching, support, and recognition to team members to foster a positive work environment.
  • Understand and advocate for Great Wolf policies and procedures while collaborating with Housekeeping leadership on performance management.
  • Participate in scheduling staff, managing labor needs, and forecasting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for new hires and ongoing training for team members.
  • Assign daily tasks, coordinate projects, and optimize staff deployment to maintain lodge cleanliness and performance.
  • Conduct daily meetings with Room and House Attendants to prioritize tasks and facilitate open feedback.
  • Escalate team feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, damages, supply levels, maintenance issues, and temperature control; provide feedback and coach accountability.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen storage, trash rooms, and housekeeping carts, ensuring proper inventory for daily operations while promoting safety standards.
  • Supervise the activities of the staff to ensure compliance with resort standards, including monitoring time and attendance.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection of talent for the housekeeping department.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and help organize engagement activities for staff.
  • Ensure completion and proper communication/escalation of maintenance work orders and other concerns.
  • Schedule deep cleanings and carpet care based on bi-annual schedules and guest feedback.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Rooms Division supervisory role or similar position
  • Relevant experience in hospitality or housekeeping, or equivalent formal education
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with HotSos or similar systems
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Proven customer service, conflict resolution, employee engagement, retention, and team-building skills; ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Desired Qualifications & Traits:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior housekeeping experience, preferably in a large family resort or hotel
  • Experience with Opera or similar systems
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
