Job Description
Job Title: Caregiver
Company: Visiting Angels
Location: Jackson, MI
Pay: $17 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: As of 2023, the hourly rate of $17 for a caregiver in Jackson, MI, is slightly below the national average wage for this role, which generally ranges from $18 to $20 per hour depending on experience and specific responsibilities. Factors such as the cost of living in Jackson, which is lower than in many urban areas, may influence wage expectations. Additionally, caregiver wages can vary based on specific duties, certifications, and the employer, but the offered rate is likely less competitive compared to nearby regions or states where caregivers often earn higher pay due to demand and economic conditions. Overall, while $17 per hour is a valid starting rate, it may not attract skilled candidates or reflect the rising expectations in the caregiving profession.
