General Summary:
This role entails leading and coordinating management-level recruiting while assisting our sales management teams in the recruitment process at both representative and manager levels. Responsibilities include sourcing, attracting, and selecting candidates for all 1099 contract sales roles, as well as delivering training to Colonial Life sales managers regarding the recruiting and contracting processes. You will collaborate with Territory Sales Managers within specific geographic regions and receive support from a centralized team of project managers in national recruiting.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain a candidate pipeline for all of Colonial Life’s 1099 roles by:
    • Actively sourcing candidates for local teams, particularly for sales management positions
    • Managing and nurturing candidate leads in your pipeline
    • Providing lead management and training support for District Managers (DGA) and Agency Development Managers (ADM) focused on growth within their territories
    • Implementing a structured opportunity to contract process for designated territories and districts
    • Assisting managers with interview and selection processes, emphasizing training and development
    • Executing a comprehensive recruiting strategy within each territory utilizing all available tools (nominator calls, personal referrals, job boards, networking events, career fairs, etc.) and setting an example for others
    • Conducting and supporting career attraction events while sharing best practices and guidelines for event planning
    • Proactively implementing the national recruiting strategy in partnership with Territory Sales Managers to source, attract, and recruit quality leaders for DGA and ADM roles through personal sourcing, networking, and extensive candidate outreach
    • Performing joint field work to ensure district teams are familiar with the tools, resources, and processes to enhance their recruiting strategies and execution
    • Conducting phone screenings and initial interviews
    • Assisting candidates with licensing and contracting processes as needed
    • Facilitating recruiting training sessions focused on growth with managers, incorporating the Colonial Life College curriculum, and conducting joint recruiting activities
    • Collaborating with National Recruiting to provide additional training and support to 1099 managers within your territories
    • Supporting business partners with the broker contract process
    • Completing additional responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications:

  • Experience in recruiting and/or sales
  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in using computer applications, tracking spreadsheets, Applicant Tracking Systems, and online contracting software
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry and with sourcing 1099 contractors is preferred
  • Strong belief in the 1099 opportunity and the capability to attract leadership candidates from both inside and outside the insurance industry
  • Self-motivated, requiring minimal direction, with outstanding time management capabilities
  • Proven experience in effective and results-oriented training and coaching of hiring managers or 1099 partners in both classroom and field settings
  • Energetic and results-driven
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%
  • Ability to maintain a positive corporate image and demonstrate professionalism while representing Colonial Life in diverse settings

Compensation:
This position offers a base salary range of $75,000 to $80,000, depending on experience, location, and other relevant factors, supplemented by incentive compensation.
