Job description:
To provide comprehensive clerical support to the Probation Department’s Record Room, Word Processing area, Intake, and Front Desk Reception.

The Deputy Bailiff Office Assistant will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

– Typing and word processing, encompassing the transcription of recorded and handwritten documents, memos, correspondence, and other typing duties. A minimum typing speed of 50-55 words per minute with fewer than five errors is required.
– Filing and distributing various documents as necessary.
– Processing and assigning cases referred to the Probation Department through the case management system.
– Operating standard office equipment efficiently.
– Answering, routing phone calls, and addressing inquiries, ensuring timely customer service for individuals reporting to Probation.
– Tracking the status of reports submitted to and received from Court.
– Assisting managerial personnel with various tasks, where independent judgment may be necessary.
– Conducting research on case dispositions.
– Maintaining confidentiality of all processed materials.
– Providing exceptional service that continually seeks improvement, meets or exceeds public expectations, and ensures all individuals are treated with courtesy, dignity, and respect.
