As a Care Professional, your typical day will involve traveling to clients’ homes and addressing their individual needs. Tasks may include light housekeeping, providing companionship, coordinating outings, assisting with medical appointments, personal care tasks such as bathing, toilet assistance, medication reminders, grooming, and support with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). It’s important to note that you will not perform skilled nursing tasks, such as administering medications or wound care, and you will always be accompanied by a designated senior care manager during your first client visit.
