Job description:

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support a national network, encompassing on-premises infrastructure and various cloud VPCs across Google, AWS, and Azure.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team and product development to aid in capacity planning and ensure architectural integrity.
  • Partner on critical IT projects, ensuring that network and security requirements are effectively addressed throughout each project lifecycle.
  • Operate and maintain the office’s networking components.
  • Oversee the physical network infrastructure across office locations and data centers.
  • Assist engineering teams in directing network and firewall architecture as well as vendor selection.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for network and firewall-related issues.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the disaster recovery plan and participate in the company’s business continuity testing.
  • Engage as a member of the Incident Response Team.
  • Standardize and automate monitoring, reporting, and alerting processes for network and firewall incidents.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing throughput, uptime, and other key metrics to support business and capacity planning.
  • Ensure the security and connectivity of cloud networks.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in network administration.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco and Meraki network components, including SD-WAN and wireless technologies.
  • Experience with Python or Shell scripting for network automation purposes.
  • Solid understanding of load balancing, switching, routing, firewalls, network tracing, and packet capture.
  • Familiarity with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure).
  • Experience with code deployment for major cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, NAC, BGP, VPN, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
  • Experience in network routing, firewall configuration, intrusion detection, internet filtering, and antivirus solutions.
  • Preference given to candidates with expertise in application security, secure email gateways, and federal compliance environments.
