We are currently seeking a part-time Food Service Worker/Cashier to join our team. This position is available immediately and will be located at Belding Area Schools, 850 Hall Street, Ionia, MI 48846. Please note that we only accept online applications.
The part-time schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Further details will be provided during the interview process. While previous experience in food service is preferred, it is not a strict requirement.
Compensation for this position ranges from $12.48 to $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary:
The Food Service Worker/Cashier will perform cashier duties alongside various food service tasks while maintaining sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Safely transport food items, pans, kettles, and trays between workstations, stove, and refrigerator. Distribute supplies and equipment as needed.
- Store food items in designated areas according to proper wrapping, dating, and food safety procedures.
- Keep work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and in compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
- Utilize approved recipes and production standards to ensure food quality, appropriate serving temperatures, and accurate portion control.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, adhering to standard service protocols.
- Engage with customers and address any complaints in a service-oriented manner.
- Communicate relevant information to supervisors as necessary.
- Conduct sales transactions and accurately record purchases in the cash register.
- Manage cash handling, including making change and accepting various payment forms.
- Issue receipts and follow standard procedures for cash refunds.
- Maintain oversight of assigned cash funds and receipts, ensuring compliance with cash drawer standards.
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while ensuring cleanliness in the service area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
