As a Senior SQL Server BI Developer (SSIS) at Gainwell, contribute your expertise as we leverage technology to assist our clients in improving the health and well-being of their communities’ most vulnerable members. – In this role, you will design, create, maintain, deploy, and manage SSIS and SQL applications for internal business teams and our clients under general supervision.
– Collaborating closely with IT staff and business stakeholders, you will create, maintain, and support ETL packages in a compliant and regulated environment.
– You will take ownership of concerns by escalating them to project management or Team Lead, while actively contributing to the identification and implementation of best practices.

In your mission with us:

– Engage in Joint Application Design (JAD), Rapid Application Development (RAD), and Design Specifications Document (DSD) sessions to identify and articulate business requirements, crafting detailed systems design documentation for reports, data interface files, data conversion, and other data exchange methods.
– Develop, test, manage, and implement SSIS Packages from the development server to the production server using package configuration.
– Oversee the maintenance and administration of SSIS, including the creation of jobs, alerts, and SQL Mail Agent setup, as well as scheduling DTS/SSIS Packages.
– Provide guidance to other developers on complex interfaces while demonstrating strong debugging skills.
– Automate SSIS package execution using SQL Server Agent Jobs.
– Proactively engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
– Diagnose and resolve incident tickets and errors effectively.
– Produce ETL specifications, data mapping, and other documentation required for ETL development.
– Utilize SQL, data models, data element dictionaries, and schemas to conduct data and business analyses.
– Ensure data quality by understanding business data and performing thorough quality assurance testing.
– Establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, members, providers, and customers.
– Support Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, End-to-End System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.

We seek candidates who possess:

– A minimum of 9 years of experience in applications design and development, specifically with SQL Server/MS-SQL scripting and SSIS.
– Proficiency in crafting complex queries and reports using Microsoft SQL.
– Strong analytical and data analysis skills utilizing Microsoft SQL.
– Prior experience in team leadership, including mentoring and overseeing team performance.
– Preferred experience in one or more of the following areas:
– Healthcare plan data focusing on medical claims and financial processing.
– Member eligibility processing.
– Provider networks.
– MCO contract details, auditing, and reporting in compliance with Federal and State requirements.
