Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will operate gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, or clamp trucks. Your primary responsibilities will involve pushing, pulling, lifting, stacking, tiering, and moving products, equipment, or materials within our distribution center or storage yard. This position is scheduled for the day shift, Tuesday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment.
- Maintain equipment and materials in an organized, clean, and orderly manner.
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned equipment.
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
- Unload inbound shipments safely and relocate products to designated storage areas.
- Efficiently stack and store products in their appropriate locations.
- Prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in the number and types of products loaded.
- Move products from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers efficiently.
- Verify the accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring products are free of damage, and report any quality discrepancies.
- Maintain appropriate records and reports to uphold tight inventory control and security.
- Assist with physical inventories as needed.
- Ensure proper stock rotation.
- Follow customer requirements and instructions consistently to maintain accuracy in load count, product stability, and safety during loading and unloading.
- Collaborate with other departments/functions, particularly Customer Service, Transportation, and Maintenance, as necessary.
- Uphold good housekeeping practices and adhere to a clean-as-you-go process.
- Operate equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report any unsafe conditions that cannot be self-corrected to the leadership team.
- Comply with corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report any observed noncompliance.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and assist in their enforcement as applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
