Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct activities related to the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Collaborate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to address and resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction challenges.
  • Assist in the development of project delivery strategies.
  • Create project schedules, segmenting tasks logically while budgeting the required time to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate procurement processes, contractor selection, contract paperwork, and manage changes.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plans.
  • Manage safety protocols and plans.
  • Facilitate the building permit process and ensure compliance with codes.
  • Conduct weekly construction meetings.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Review contractor payment applications and recommend payments to clients.
  • Develop and monitor cost reports for clients.
  • Guide the preparation of punch lists and manage project close-out processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a building construction/state license, 30-hour training in OSHA safety requirements, and CMAA/PMI certification.
  • A clear and analytical approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making capabilities, outstanding communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in construction estimating, knowledgeable in construction and procurement strategies, and skilled in project scheduling software. Familiarity with web-based construction management software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Information Technology tools including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
