Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Member Services Representative to join our team on a part-time weekend basis, from 9:30 AM to 6 PM. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, all while ensuring a welcoming and "Judgement Free" environment. Bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:

• Welcome members and guests, providing outstanding customer service to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
• Answer phone calls with a friendly demeanor, assisting callers with a broad range of inquiries.
• Check in members, facilitate tours, assist with new membership sign-ups, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to both members and guests.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point of sale system.
• Utilize the POS system to manage new membership cards, address changes, and assist with billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Ensure the front desk area and lobby are kept clean and organized to enhance the member experience.
• Carry out regular cleaning and upkeep of the facility, including mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Conduct routine cleaning of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
• Maintain cleanliness and adequate stocking of restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Candidates for this position must undergo a 7-year criminal background check during the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding member expectations.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Possess an upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within the timeframe required by the company and possess the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate weight (up to 50 lbs).
• Capable of continuous verbal communication in person or via phone during shifts.
• Maintain the physical ability to administer CPR in case of medical emergencies.
• Possess normal vision capabilities, with or without correction.
• Possess normal hearing capabilities, with or without correction.
