Job description:
The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing demand generation programs that align with the North America regional strategy and objectives. Key responsibilities include identifying new leads and accelerating existing leads through the sales and marketing funnel to achieve revenue growth and enhance customer retention.
This multifaceted role encompasses the following primary responsibilities:
- Setting goals and collaborating closely with various teams including product marketing, marcomms operations, regional leadership, sales, and operations.
- Crafting an integrated marketing strategy and tactical go-to-market plan that fosters awareness, enhances pipeline development, and meets sales targets while adapting corporate marketing and demand generation programs to address region-specific requirements.
- Analyzing and optimizing the performance of regionally focused activities, utilizing available resources and budget effectively.
- Leading a direct team while guiding and directing resources in teams that fall outside direct management purview.
Performance metrics will focus on the impact and contribution to regional sales targets, as well as relationship development, engagement, and communication outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with sales leadership to synchronize and prioritize regional marketing activities aimed at achieving specific sales targets.
- Engaging with sales teams to boost local awareness and generate new leads within the region.
- Working alongside product marketing teams to enhance messaging, brand awareness, and sales enablement efforts.
- Partnering with MarComms Operations to implement digital best practices and regionalize various marketing tactics including digital, social, web, email, events, and account-based marketing (ABM).
- Coordinating with customer operations teams to promote customer growth and retention through effective cross-sell and upsell campaigns, as well as through the development of case studies and advocacy programs.
- Partnering with sales and MarComms operations to assess the impact of marketing technology on lead flow and opportunity conversion.
- Collaborating with channel partners on local go-to-market strategies, programs, and promotions.
- Working with recruitment and HR teams to cultivate, manage, and retain a high-performing regional marketing team.
- Demonstrating leadership qualities to inspire and motivate team members while driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensuring financial stewardship by working alongside finance and procurement teams to maintain budgetary control and compliance.
- Leading administrative oversight of programs by collaborating with legal teams to ensure compliance and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
- Providing marketing support for strategic business priorities by partnering with diverse internal clients.
- Offering guidance and expertise on various projects and initiatives across Marketing and Communication teams.
The role also demands the development of region-specific marketing strategies and go-to-market plans, leveraging existing marketing programs to drive pipeline momentum. This includes:
- Utilizing market research and competitive intelligence to construct a relevant regional marketing strategy.
- Aligning regional campaigns with corporate/global demand generation initiatives to maintain consistent messaging that capitalizes on competitive advantages.
- Implementing content strategies to drive engagement and accelerate conversion rates throughout the sales funnel, ensuring alignment with regional requirements.
- Coordinating various events—local, in-person, virtual, or hybrid—to enhance visibility and engagement, while developing comprehensive marketing strategies for each phase.
- Directly managing region-specific ABM programs and optimizing content outreach to targeted accounts.
- Leading social, digital, and email campaigns designed to nurture leads and facilitate faster conversions, with consistent messaging across channels.
- Conducting regular account check-ins with sales teams to ensure alignment with sales goals.
- Coordinating content rollout and enablement initiatives with regional partners.
To evaluate the regional impact, the Senior Marketing Manager will:
- Establish and manage KPIs, budgets, and resources for regional marketing programs to ensure effective allocation to high-performing tactics.
- Forecast and report on marketing outcomes, assessing their impact on regional awareness and activity.
- Manage budgets and resources while preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for leadership to convey strategies, plans, and results.
Qualifications include:
Required:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant B2B marketing experience, with at least 5 years in management roles.
- A collaborative approach with internal and external functions.
- Proven experience in partnering on marketing initiatives with senior executives.
- Strong demand generation expertise and familiarity with marketing technology, including:
