In this role, you will collaborate with and receive mentorship from nationally recognized senior technical staff. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for their field, strong verbal and written communication abilities, and exceptional organizational skills. You must be adept at managing multiple responsibilities within a diverse team environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

– Executing activities for master planning and the design of water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance and treatment systems, as well as providing engineering services during construction.
– Contributing to design efforts for projects of varying sizes, ensuring they meet or exceed success metrics.
– Gaining a solid understanding of both open-channel and pressurized conveyance system hydraulics.
– Conducting analysis, calculations, research, and the selection and layout necessary to develop design documents for new installations and rehabilitation efforts.
– Performing defect coding and assessment of wastewater collection systems.
– Coordinating with project managers, client service managers, and multidisciplinary project personnel.
– Conducting field investigations and condition assessments in various environments, including active worksites, roadways, treatment plants, and pumping stations.
– Engaging in physical tasks, such as walking, bending, and reaching, to facilitate comprehensive fieldwork.
– Conducting visual and auditory assessments of field conditions to monitor safety and identify potential hazards.
– Ascending and descending stairs as necessary to access different work areas.
– Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
– Maintaining the ability to swiftly move to safety in emergency or hazardous situations.
– Adhering to project health and safety plans by wearing personal protective equipment as required, including hearing protection, eye protection, safety shoes, cold weather gear, and hard hats.
– Directing the work of drafters and designers, and coordinating efforts with other disciplines.
– Upholding a high standard of personal organization and compliance with company protocols for quality, timekeeping, and project documentation.

Desired Skills and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus.
– Experience and/or coursework in infrastructure-related projects is preferred.
– A valid driver’s license and a good driving record may be required.
– Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) is preferred.
– Familiarity with engineering calculation software (MathCAD, MATLAB) is advantageous.
– Proficiency in drafting and design software (AutoCAD); Revit experience is preferred.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position will be determined by the employee’s primary work location and will vary based on skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be adjusted in the future.
