Job Description
Job Title: WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL TIME)
Company: Compass Group
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $16.75 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $16.75 for a full-time waiter or waitress in Grand Rapids, MI, is relatively competitive compared to the national average for this role, which typically ranges from $12 to $20 per hour, depending on factors such as experience and establishment type. In Michigan, the minimum wage for tipped employees is lower than the regular minimum wage, allowing for some variation, but the total compensation, including tips, often enhances overall earnings. Considering the cost of living in Grand Rapids, which is generally lower than in larger urban areas, this hourly rate is favorable, particularly if the establishment has a high volume of customers and a culture of tipping. Thus, while not the highest in the state, the offered rate aligns with industry standards and should attract job seekers in the area.
