Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes.
– Ensure that food quality, taste, and presentation adhere to HCSG standards.
– Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
– Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies.
– Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
– Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent is required.
– Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
– Ability to follow recipes and adhere to dietary restrictions.
– Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to fulfill daily tasks.
– Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is mandatory.
– Capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
– Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks continuously.
– Must be able to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
– Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
– Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is mandatory, in accordance with State/County regulations.
– Residency within the service area is required.
