Job description:
PBNA offers a competitive hourly wage of $27.50. The role involves meticulous inventory management, including counting and documenting finished goods transported from the facility for sales delivery or distribution to other warehouses. Responsibilities include receiving finished goods, unloading transport trucks, storing products in designated warehouse spaces, and returning empty pallets and plastic storage flats to the manufacturing location. Additionally, the position involves loading pre-made multi-product pallets onto local delivery trucks.
Key responsibilities encompass primary shipping and receiving duties, inventory management, and housekeeping tasks. Candidates must be able to pass a Forklift Driving Skills test, if applicable. The position requires physical agility, including climbing onto trailers and route trucks, as well as lifting and pushing cases weighing between 20 to 45 pounds. Successful candidates will often work independently with minimal supervision.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Accurately count floor and truck inventories
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols (if applicable)
- Receive and appropriately store incoming items according to established warehouse standards
- Ensure a safe and orderly arrangement for all handled items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas, including the yard and warehouse
- Promptly and safely reload route trucks
- Sort and store partial cases of products returned from route trucks
- Keep accurate records of daily checklists and inventory activities
- Exhibit strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills with peers
- Ensure adherence to audit standards
- Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable)
Helpful Experience:
- Inventory counting, including tracking in-bound and out-bound inventory using basic mathematical calculations
- Inventory control, including monitoring levels of inventory and tracking products within the warehouse
- Process control and documentation with an emphasis on product checking and maintaining quality standards within tight deadlines
- Experience in a warehousing environment, including knowledge of SKU configurations and effective warehouse operations
- Proficiency in using computers, including operating hand-held devices and creating spreadsheets or logs to track product movement in and out of the facility
