The Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center, situated in Lewis Center, Ohio, is seeking part-time Banquet Servers and Attendants to enhance our dedicated team. As one of the largest venues in Columbus, our property hosts a diverse range of meetings during the week and elegant weddings on weekends.
In the role of Banquet Server and Attendant, your primary focus will be on delivering an exceptional guest experience. Key responsibilities include demonstrating both service excellence and product knowledge within the food service sector, all while maintaining a hospitable demeanor. You will be involved in serving a variety of food and beverages across different venues, ensuring that every guest feels well taken care of.

Essential Functions:
- Set up equipment and items promptly to ensure successful event execution, typically involving buffet setups, food and drink stations, table arrangements, and food and beverage preparations.
- Serve food and beverages to guests according to the specifications outlined in the Banquet Event Order (BEO), ensuring continual restocking and adherence to presentation standards.
- Proactively anticipate and address guest needs before and during events to provide high-quality service and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness standards by refreshing the space, removing dirty dishes, and disposing of trash properly.
- Conduct post-event teardown and cleanup, returning all equipment and items to storage for future use.
Physical Requirements:
- The position necessitates standing for the duration of the shift.
- Candidates must possess the ability to carry a banquet serving tray holding at least 6 dinners, with the goal of eventually serving up to 8 dinners.
- Additional physical demands include the capability to lift, reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull heavy loads, exerting up to 100 pounds of force, and regularly lifting 55 pounds.
