Job description:

In the position of Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the Community’s interior spaces, including residents’ apartments, while delivering courteous and friendly service.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping duties for both the Community and individual resident apartments, which include vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.
• Maintain resident apartments by cleaning and defrosting refrigerators as needed, checking and cleaning heat system filters, changing beds and linens, and ensuring adequate linen supplies are available. Additionally, assist with turning mattresses when required and emptying waste baskets.
• Conduct deep cleaning of apartments as necessary, with special attention to the main entry area, focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
• Launder all linens using the provided laundry facilities.
• Adhere to Company sanitation and safety procedures.

Server Responsibilities

• Warmly greet residents and guests at each table while serving beverages, cereals, and/or soups/salads from the cart.
• Clearly and courteously present the meal menu, take resident orders, and serve meals and desserts.
• Return carts to the kitchen and assist with the proper storage of perishable items. Deliver trays to resident rooms when necessary.
• Bus and clear dishes from tables post-meals and reset dining areas for the next meal while following sanitization protocols for tables and chairs as outlined in the Food Service Guidelines. Vacuum carpets as needed.
• Complete side work, including filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, and cleaning the coffee maker.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Capable of effective communication in English with employees and residents.
• Possess general knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to remember and retain orders (up to four at a time).
• Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills are required.
