We encourage serious applicants who are eager to work and are passionate about caring for the elderly to reach out to us. Our current client requires assistance from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize transfer assistive devices, including Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand devices, gait belts, and slide boards.
• Assist clients with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and ambulation.
• Monitor changes in clients’ health and consult with other healthcare team members as needed.
• Maintain a clean environment, which may include light housekeeping.
• Safely handle and clean devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies.
• Assess clients for changes in condition and promptly communicate findings to supervisors.
• Develop and implement engaging life enrichment activities.
• Follow established schedules while assisting residents with repositioning.
• Transport clients to medical appointments or for errands, such as shopping.
• Complete all necessary documentation and charting.
• Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support for clients.
• Adhere to all Homestead policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience with medication administration.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation; able to travel a maximum of 25 miles.
• Availability to work weekends.
