We encourage serious applicants who are passionate about caring for the elderly to apply! Our current client requires assistance from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize transfer assistive devices, including but not limited to Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand devices, gait belts, and slide boards.
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bed transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and ambulation.
• Monitor changes in clients’ health and collaborate with other healthcare team members as necessary.
• Maintain a clean environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
• Properly handle and maintain hygiene of medical devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies.
• Recognize and report changes in client conditions immediately to a supervisor.
• Plan and implement engaging life enrichment activities.
• Follow a schedule to assist residents with repositioning.
• Transport clients to medical appointments or shopping trips.
• Complete all required documentation and charting.
• Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals.
• Provide companionship to clients.
• Adhere to all Homestead policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Proven experience in medication administration.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Reliable transportation, with a maximum travel radius of 25 miles.
• Availability to work weekends.
