Job description:

We are seeking candidates for immediate hiring in both full-time and part-time Cashier/Food Service Worker positions.

The position is located at Case Western Reserve University, 2109 Adelbert Road, Cleveland, OH 44106. Please note that applications will only be accepted online.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, assist the Chef, prepare coffee, and maintain cleanliness at the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of food items, including meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, as well as catering orders.
  • Conduct cashier duties using the POS system.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including the removal of trash to designated areas.
  • Provide exemplary service in various retail areas, encompassing cashiering and line serving.
  • Accurately handle cash according to established procedures and process deposits at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Inventory and restock supplies and food products as required.
  • Set up the serving line, ensuring that food temperatures are monitored, recorded, and maintained within acceptable ranges. Report any discrepancies to the cooks if necessary.
  • Serve both hot and cold items to customers.
  • Prepare items for sale daily.
  • Ensure that the refrigerator is stocked and that product rotation follows the first-in, first-out rule.
  • Stock pantries to maintain correct par levels of food items each day, recording replenished quantities on the floor stock form for each unit. Monitor and record refrigerator temperatures daily.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
