Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician – Part Time – 24 Hours Per Week – Monday to Friday

We are seeking an Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician with experience in housekeeping, lawn care, and equipment maintenance. This essential role involves a variety of responsibilities, including ensuring that our 23-unit Affordable Living Community, along with its surrounding grounds and equipment, is properly maintained. Key daily tasks involve responding to work order requests and fostering a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors. This position includes on-call emergency responsibilities during weekends and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained for the comfort, safety, and convenience of those served. Provide recommendations to enhance service quality.
  • Respond to and repair items indicated in work order requests with minimal assistance.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and plumbing, documenting and updating schedules as necessary.
  • Carry out unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Handle internal housekeeping and external groundskeeping functions, including lawn care and snow removal.
  • Prepare and clean vacant apartments/rooms.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies and submit orders to the supervisor.

Job Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

• One year of general maintenance experience preferred.

Additional Work Requirements

• Availability for "on-call" responsibilities may be required.
• Extended hours, including weekends and evenings, may be necessary.
• A valid unrestricted driver’s license, a good driving record, and valid automobile insurance are required.
• The position requires the use of a personal automobile for business purposes.
