Job Summary: The Hotel Deli Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages to patrons at the Odawa Casino Hotel, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Welcome all guests and team members in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Exhibit professionalism and positivity, setting a standard for fellow team members.
- Maintain a respectful environment, addressing guest complaints promptly and informing management as needed.
- Arrange breakfast items in an appealing buffet style, including hot entrees, pastries, fruits, coffee, cereals, breads, muffins, condiments, and juices.
- Organize items on counters, shelves, and deli cases to create an attractive display.
- Communicate specials and promotions effectively through signage.
- Operate the cash register/POS system accurately, ensuring proper cash handling in line with established policies.
- Stay informed about current coupon offers and promotions, and apply them accordingly.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ongoing and upcoming promotions and events at the Odawa Casino Resort.
- Ensure the work environment is clean, organized, safe, and comfortable for both team members and guests.
- Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety standards and local liquor regulations.
- Manage cleanliness by disposing of trash and maintaining the floor through vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
- Replenish supplies and maintain effective inventory controls daily.
- Present a professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards.
- Participate in all required meetings and complete necessary training satisfactorily.
- Uphold confidentiality at all times.
- Be flexible to work at other properties as required.
