Job description:
We are currently seeking a Chemical Operator to join our esteemed Performance Chemicals division in Cincinnati, OH. This position offers a competitive starting pay rate of $28 per hour and involves 24/7 rotating shifts.

As a key member of our innovative team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production equipment at our Cincinnati facility. Your duties will encompass operating chemical processing equipment, including reactors, refining, and filtration systems, as well as transferring materials to and from various departments and loading tank trucks and rail cars for customer shipments.

During your shift, your responsibilities will include:

– Loading and unloading tank cars and railcars, receiving truck deliveries, and collecting samples from tank cars and vessels.
– Conducting visual inspections of operating equipment to assess current operating status while demonstrating effective operation of the Distributed Control System (DCS) in your daily tasks.
– Reading, recording, and interpreting data from various instruments (such as reactors, tanks, pumps, and filtration systems) and making necessary adjustments to ensure efficient production runs.
– Demonstrating proficiency in operating all production equipment with minimal supervision and utilizing computer systems to fulfill work assignments.
– Participating in required safety training and consistently wearing appropriate personal protective equipment while working within the plant area.
– Maintaining housekeeping responsibilities to ensure a tidy and orderly production and operations environment.
– Collaborating and effectively communicating with Supply Chain Planners, Logistics Teams, Production Coordinators, Maintenance, Laboratory personnel, and other team members to uphold high-quality standards that meet or exceed customer expectations.
– Supporting and adhering to the principles of the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care®, as well as the initiatives of the EPA and OSHA, prioritizing the protection of the environment, health, safety, and security of our employees, contractors, carriers, distributors, visitors, customers, and community members.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

– A High School Diploma or GED is required.
– A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is necessary.
– Familiarity with DCS console operations and SAP is preferred.
– A strong commitment to safety standards and exceptional troubleshooting skills.
