Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation and Monitoring:

    • Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machines to produce products in accordance with specifications.
    • Adjust machine parameters, including temperature, pressure, and feed rate, to optimize product quality.
    • Identify and troubleshoot any malfunctions or deviations from standard production.
  • Quality Control:

    • Conduct regular inspections of extruded products to identify quality defects, such as dimensional variations, surface imperfections, and color consistency.
    • Make necessary adjustments to uphold quality standards.
    • Perform quality checks and document results in compliance with company procedures.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Train and mentor team members on proper machine operation and safety protocols.
    • Delegate tasks to team members based on production requirements.
    • Monitor team performance and proactively address operational challenges.
  • Maintenance and Housekeeping:

    • Execute routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on extrusion equipment to prevent breakdowns.
    • Identify and report any required repairs or replacements to the maintenance team.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Production Planning and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with production planning teams to ensure that materials and production schedules are met.
    • Track production metrics and generate reports on efficiency, scrap rates, and product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: A thorough understanding of extrusion processes, machine operation, and quality control principles is preferred.
