As a caregiver, you will play an essential role in providing both physical and emotional support to our elderly clients, fostering meaningful connections that enhance their well-being.

We are seeking serious applicants who are ready to work and demonstrate a genuine love for caring for the elderly. Our current client requires assistance from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

– Utilize transfer assistive devices, including Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand aids, gait belts, and slide boards.
– Assist clients with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility.
– Assess changes in clients’ health and collaborate with the healthcare team as necessary.
– Maintain a clean environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
– Utilize and maintain medical devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies.
– Monitor and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the supervisor immediately.
– Develop and implement engaging life enrichment activities.
– Assist clients with repositioning according to schedule.
– Accompany clients to medical appointments or shopping trips.
– Complete all required documentation and charting accurately.
– Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals.
– Provide companionship to clients.
– Adhere to all Homestead policies and procedures.

Requirements:

– A minimum of 2 years of experience in caregiving.
– Experience in medication administration.
– Ability to pass a criminal background check.
– Valid driver’s license and insurance.
– High school diploma or GED.
– Reliable transportation with a maximum travel distance of 25 miles.
– Availability for weekend shifts.
