We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to fill part-time Barista positions at Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital. Applications will only be accepted online.

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Barista is to prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items while adhering to HACCP guidelines and quality standards. This role requires friendly and courteous interaction with both customers and fellow employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standardized measures and recipes.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS device and manage cash and charge payments.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies, ensuring cleanliness in the service area.
• Ensure proper presentation and serving temperatures of food items while adhering to HACCP standards.
• Maintain the sanitation and organization of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
• Keep display equipment clean and free from debris during meal service.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of equipment and workstations at the conclusion of service.
• Greet customers in a courteous manner and engage to guarantee satisfaction, relaying relevant feedback to supervisors.
• Serve customers efficiently to minimize delays in serving lines.
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of daily menu items and provide accurate explanations to customers.
• Employ effective selling techniques to assist customers in their purchasing decisions.
• Present display foods attractively and serve items neatly in compliance with standards.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
